がポイントになると思いますが、リストを見るだけでも沢山ありますので。

BMW is recalling 156,137 luxury cars and SUVs because bolts
holding a component on their six-cylinder engines can fail and
cause engine stalling or damage.
The recall includes some of BMWs most popular models,
including the 3-Series compact sport sedan.
BMW says it has told the National Highway Traffic Safety
Administration that in "rare" cases, bolts holding the housing
for the variable camshaft timing unit can loosen or break,
causing the engine to go into "safe mode," where engine
performance is limited. The "check engine" or "service engine
soon" light also will illuminate.
Continued use can lead to stalling, engine damage and inability
to restart.BMW says owners should contact a dealer for
service immediately. If the car stalls, BMW says, the driver
should try to get it to the side of the road and call for a tow.
The recall covers these vehicles with the in-line six-cylinder
engine:

海外ニュースの報道では、

＞一部の６気筒エンジンに関連したこの不具合による事故や負傷の報告はないと説明。
＞リコール対象車には、過去１カ月に発表した北米の15万6000台と中国の23万2098台が含まれる。

＞サンター氏によると、不具合のある車ではエンジン確認を促す警告灯がつく可能性がある。
＞エンジンの出力を抑えて最寄りの修理工場まで運転することは可能だという。

＞中国では6気筒モデルで本国での製造年月２００９年６月─２０１３年６月製が対象の様です。

上記のようです。

日本向け車両は、対象外なのかも・・・。

BMW Japan はまた死んだふり？？

【フランクフルト時事】ドイツの自動車大手ＢＭＷは１１日、
６気筒エンジンを搭載している一部車種でエンジンに損傷が
発生する恐れがあるとして、世界で４８万９０００台をリコール
（回収・無償修理）すると発表した。米国と中国での販売分が
約３９万台と大部分を占めるが、日本分も８６００台含まれている。

なるほど・・・報道されてますね。
本国発表から日本のリコール通知まで、タイムラグがあるのか、スルーされてるのか・・・。

７月に最初の案内が来て、先週（１０月上旬）３泊４日の作業となりました。おまけはメモ帳のみでした。
